Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Quickwork journeys based on existing MuleSoft API behaviour, target architecture and agreed platform patterns.

  • Implement REST API endpoints and integrations in accordance with OpenAPI specifications.

  • Build data transformations, request validation and token-based authentication.

  • Handle backend errors, timeouts, invalid payloads and missing required headers.

  • Write unit and integration tests covering successful operations and error scenarios.

  • Compare migrated API responses with the existing MuleSoft implementation and resolve discrepancies.

  • Maintain technical documentation covering journey purpose, inputs, outputs, transformations and error handling.

  • Participate in peer reviews and collaborate with the Technical Lead, platform specialists and QA.

  • Support deployment, production cutover, troubleshooting and handover.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of integration development using MuleSoft, Workato, Boomi, Azure Logic Apps, Quickwork or a comparable platform.

  • Hands-on experience implementing and consuming REST APIs.

  • Ability to read and implement OpenAPI 3.0 specifications, including request and response schemas, parameters, authentication and error responses.

  • Practical JavaScript / Node.js skills for JSON processing, field mapping, array operations, conditional logic, type conversion and function debugging.

  • Experience implementing OAuth2, JWT or API-key authentication, from both API consumer and provider perspectives.

  • Understanding of HTTP status codes, request validation, API error handling and timeout behaviour.

  • Experience with API testing, integration testing and troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with version control, CI/CD and development, test and production environments.

  • Basic understanding of TMF API standards and awareness of MEF Sonata, including their use in address validation and service qualification.

  • Ability to communicate technical issues clearly, raise blockers promptly and produce practical documentation.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience developing Quickwork journeys.

  • Experience implementing TMF622 or TMF645 APIs.

  • German language skills.

Position Focus

This position concentrates on backend and data integrations, alongside address-related system and process APIs.

The expected scope includes:

  • Currency-rate processing, AWS S3 backups and CDC synchronisation.

  • Address integrations, geocoding, place lookup and geo-validation.

  • MEF tools and Geographic Address Management (GAM) process APIs.

  • Data mapping and integration with the relevant external services.

Experience with Google Maps API, AWS S3 API and Salesforce REST API would be particularly valuable for this position.
