Summary

We are looking for a senior Quickwork SME / Platform Engineer to act as the platform expert within a large-scale integration migration program.

The role sits between architecture and implementation, translating technical designs into robust Quickwork solutions and ensuring that Integration Developers use the platform consistently and effectively.

You will own the Quickwork platform setup, define reusable implementation patterns, support developers, review journeys, troubleshoot platform issues, and help establish a stable and production-ready integration environment.

This is a hands-on role requiring deep Quickwork expertise, strong iPaaS and API knowledge, and the ability to guide developers on platform best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical expert for the Quickwork platform.
  • Set up and maintain Quickwork environments across Development, UAT, and Production.
  • Define reusable journey standards, naming conventions, folder structures, and implementation patterns.
  • Configure and maintain Quickwork API Management.
  • Support Integration Developers with platform-specific design and implementation questions.
  • Review Quickwork journeys before they progress into QA and production.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Lead on architecture, security, and common implementation patterns.
  • Support implementation of Node.js-based logic within Quickwork where required.
  • Advise DevOps on Quickwork deployment and promotion mechanisms across environments.
  • Troubleshoot platform and configuration issues and manage escalations with Quickwork support where necessary.
  • Support performance reviews and ensure that Quickwork implementations meet required operational expectations.
  • Produce platform documentation and support knowledge transfer to operations teams.

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Quickwork, including delivery of production integrations.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing integrations on iPaaS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of API-first integration and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience implementing APIs based on OpenAPI 3.0 specifications.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across platform, configuration, and downstream integration issues.
  • Experience working with multiple environments such as Development, UAT, and Production.
  • Ability to work directly with Integration Developers through reviews, technical guidance, and paired implementation.

Quickwork Platform Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of Quickwork Journeys, including synchronous, scheduled, and event-driven integrations.
  • Strong experience with Quickwork API Management, including endpoint configuration, authentication, access control, and rate limiting.
  • Hands-on experience using the Node.js App capability within Quickwork.
  • Experience with Quickwork Connections and Credentials, including OAuth2, API Key, HTTP Basic, and custom authentication methods.
  • Experience using Quickwork databases for state management where required.
  • Understanding of environment-specific configuration management and promotion between environments.
  • Strong knowledge of journey error handling, retries, and reusable integration patterns.
  • Ability to identify platform constraints and recommend appropriate implementation approaches.

Integration and API Skills

  • Experience designing both synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns.
  • Good understanding of API concepts such as idempotency, correlation, pagination, and asynchronous responses.
  • Hands-on understanding of OAuth2 Client Credentials and M2M authentication patterns.
  • Ability to translate OpenAPI 3.0 specifications into practical Quickwork journey designs.
  • Experience implementing standards-based APIs such as TMF Open APIs or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of API integration quality beyond basic functional implementation.

Platform Configuration and Delivery

  • Experience managing multi-environment iPaaS landscapes.
  • Understanding of deployment, versioning, and controlled promotion of integration configurations.
  • Ability to advise on CI/CD and deployment mechanisms for Quickwork.
  • Strong understanding of performance optimization within integration workflows.
  • Ability to identify unnecessary latency and inefficient execution patterns.

Training and Developer Enablement

  • Ability to train and support Integration Developers on Quickwork platform concepts and implementation patterns.
  • Experience with paired development or hands-on technical mentoring.
  • Ability to produce clear and reusable journey design standards and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills when explaining platform-specific constraints and best practices.

Troubleshooting and Support

  • Strong ability to diagnose integration failures using Quickwork logs and execution traces.
  • Ability to distinguish between platform issues, configuration problems, and downstream-service failures.
  • Experience working with vendor support and driving technical issues through to resolution.
  • Comfortable acting as the escalation point for complex Quickwork platform problems.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of TARDIS, StarGate, or SpaceGate.
  • Familiarity with TMF Open APIs, including standards such as TMF622, TMF645, and TMF673.
  • Awareness of MEF Sonata standards.
  • Quickwork certification or experience working within the Quickwork partner ecosystem.
  • Experience integrating Quickwork with Salesforce CommsCloud / Vlocity, Google Maps, or AWS S3.

Leadership and Working Style

  • Able to operate as the authoritative Quickwork specialist within a cross-functional integration team.
  • Comfortable working closely with architects, Integration Developers, DevOps, QA, and platform stakeholders.
  • Proactive in identifying platform risks, constraints, and implementation issues before they impact delivery.
  • Strong attention to quality, consistency, maintainability, and operational readiness.
  • Able to combine deep platform knowledge with practical, hands-on implementation support.
